Spectratek Technologies made a commitment, our
proprietary embossing and mastering techniques
in hand, to bring the magic of optically engineered
products to the market place. At the time of Spectratek's
inception there was no practical, reliable, or
cost effective method of production that could
meet and sustain the demands of those who would
use holographic products.
|
|
|
|
Holography,
because it had up until then been produced one sheet or image
at a time, was relegated by volume consumers to be a cottage
industry; a novelty item. Creating the ability to incorporate
performance optical products into the architecture of any
product was Spectratek's goal and mission. When Spectratek
opened it's doors in 1980 it did so armed with a confidence
in holography that only invention and years of experience
can bring.

Spectratek has more than fulfilled it's commitment.
In the wake of it's founders vision, Spectratek's
pioneering efforts have played a key role in the
evolution of this now more mature optical effects
market.

Automotive
paints, injection molded parts, cold transfers, adhesive applications,
embossing transfers, prime label stock, fabric applique, extrusion
processes, glass applications, packaging, and custom image
two and three dimensional holograms are only a few of the
complex challenges Spectratek Technologies has fostered.

Mike Foster invented holographic embossing technologies
in the late 60's so it is only natural that he has put
all of his concentration, thirty years of work, into
the application and refinement of his proprietary embossing
transfer techniques.

Because Spectratek does not manufacture paper, coatings, laminates,
or hot stamp foils we are able to concentrate all of our research
efforts to the enhancement of your current and future holographic
product application needs. Our drive to develop the next break
through in the holographic industry arises from working with
you… our customer. Twenty years of business growth, product
development, technical experience, and manufacturing "know-how"
have made Spectratek Technologies the worlds leading manufacturer
of industrial embossed holographic and optical-effects films.

C.E.O.,
President, and Co-Founder Michael Wanlass takes Spectratek's role
in the marketplace and it's commitment to the future development
of holography very seriously. Currently our production capacity
is 45 million MSI, (or 1.94 million lbs.), of embossed film output
per year. In March 2001 Spectratek opened the doors of it's new
embossing facility, raising our capacity to 105 million MSI, (or
4.54 million lbs.), completing stage one of our expansion. February
2002 will see the completion of stage two of our expanded facility
bring our film production output to 800 million MSI, (or 34.6
million lbs.), per year.

Designed and built by Spectratek and our decades of manufacturing
experience, the machines housed here are the next generation of
embossing technology. Our new embossing equipment is complimented
by revolutionary, proprietary, high speed mastering technology
for pattern, effect, and three-dimensional holographic artwork
generation. Strong adherence to improved Quality Control techniques
and inventory tracking guarantee an even more consistent product.
We are looking forward to offering high volume customers the convenience
of dedicated embossing lines, ensuring that supply will be consistent.

At
Spectratek Technologies we are introducing new products and hearing
new ideas daily. We've just released our new line of "SpectraSteel"
films that perfectly emulate the surface of sheet steel. "Galvanized",
"Deckplate", and "Brush Finish" all are seem-less, shim-less,
wide-web, no repeat patterns that share all the built in qualities
of our holographic film family. In December 2000, Spectratek launched
steel film for printing, lamination, packaging, balloons or anything
else you can dream up.

|
In March 2001 Spectratek introduced three new diffraction
patterns generated by our new proprietary mastering techniques.
