In
1980, when Spectratek began it's 'journey in holography,
we were acutely aware that the success of our
products would come about as a direct result of
our ability to understand the application needs
of our customers. To this end, Spectratek has
engineered its' stock film lines to the highest
performance standards.

The
combination of our expertise in manipulating micro-geometric surfaces
and our commitment to the performance requirements of our customers
makes our films the brightest, most durable, easily converted
or applied, performance films anywhere. All
of Spectratek's stock polyester ( PET ) films are solvent and
heat resistant ( 400*F ) and share the same performance standards
regardless of thickness or pattern. We also offer EVOH, BIAX Nylon,
and PVC films to meet the needs of some of our customers more
specialized product applications. If the materials you need are
not listed here, please contact or E-mail us as we have built
our business on finding solutions to almost any application architecture.

Spectratek's stock film products are available
in an array of widths to fit the standards of
many industrial applications. One of our challenges
has been the development of ever increasing roll
widths to meet the requirements of our industrial
clients. To date Spectratek's bare metal or transparent
stock film widths are 28", 40",
and 55". In January 2000 our first of six 63" embossing machines
will become operational, helping us to better meet your needs.
For our customers who require specific roll widths other than
those listed we offer in house roll conversion.

Spectratek uses only the highest grades of raw film materials.
Twenty years of working with our suppliers has helped us
refine our premium raw film stock specifically for use in
our proprietary micro-replication processes. Whether your
using PET, EVOH, BIAX Nylon, or PVC you can be assured that
no corners have been cut in the purchase of our film base.

Our films are more transparent and in applications where the
metalized surface is "down" our optical effects do not appear
murky or lose sharpness of color. This factor of optically
treated films is especially important in film lamination applications
involving 2 mil film or greater.

One
of the fastest growing segments of the optical effects film
markets is packaging. Because all but one of Spectratek's
patterns have no shim lines, pattern breaks, or seams our
films can be printed without the need for registration resulting
in higher yields of usable material. All of our stock films
are print treated to enhance adhesion for water based inks,
solvent based inks, UV curing inks, heat transfer inks, silk
screening, flexographic, lithographic, gravuere, and thermal
transfer systems.
